White Pine Students Put Knowledge to Work Building Bridges

Students from White Pine Charter School participated in Ms. Wood’s fifth grade Bridge Building Competition. The goal of the competition was to build the lightest bridge that could also hold the most weight. Students were tasked with drafting and designing their own bridge plan and worked as a team to integrate their classroom knowledge into a sturdy and stable bridge design.

White Pine Charter School focuses on a core knowledge curriculum  and believes that effective learning is hands-on where students are taught to be critical thinkers and life-long learners. White Pine is currently accepting students for their lottery process for the 2014-15 school year. More information can be found on their website.
