Anser Charter School Receives Federal Grant Funding For New Lunch Equipment

Idaho received the funding to help Anser and 14 additional schools purchase the school lunch equipment for use in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs administered through the United States Department of Agriculture.  The application process was very competitive with 32 school food authorities (SFAs) submitting grant applications totaling over $350,000 in equipment requests.

Anser Charter School takes their students nutritional needs seriously and this new oven is a way to improve their school’s lunch program. Currently, Anser’s lunch program is one of the .05% of programs in Idaho meeting the nutritional requirements that will be in place for the National School Lunch Program in 2020.
